Sarah Brightman's Classics collects old and new recordings of some of her classical vocal performances, including Ave Maria and Nessun Dorma. Pie Jesu is the lone nod to her collaboration with Andrew Lloyd Weber and Time to Say Goodbye is probably the most recognizable song on the album to the majority of Brightman's audience. Most of the other performances on Classics follow that song's lead, mixing Brightman's crystalline soprano with lush and somewhat pop-tinged arrangements. In other words, the singer's fans will feel right at home with her interpretations of the classics here.
